Concrete Patios
Turn your backyard into a space you actually want to spend time in with a well-built concrete patio designed to last.
A Patio That Holds Up to Real Life
A wood deck might look great when it is new, but after a few years of sun, rain, and foot traffic, it starts to warp, splinter, and rot. Concrete does not do any of that. A properly installed concrete patio in Garden Grove can look great 20 years after it was poured, and the upkeep is minimal compared to any other outdoor surface.
We install concrete patios for homeowners across Garden Grove and all of Orange County. Whether you want a simple, clean slab for outdoor furniture and a grill or a more finished space with decorative edging and a stamped pattern, we can build it for you.
Every patio we pour starts with a proper base preparation, the right thickness for the intended use, and a finish that matches your style and budget. If you want to see the full range of what we do, head back to our home page for a complete list of our services.

What Kind of Patio Can You Get?
You have more options than most people realize. Here is a breakdown of the most common patio types we install.
- Standard broom-finish patio. The most common choice. A broom finish gives the surface a slight texture that makes it slip-resistant when wet. Clean, simple, and very durable. Great for covered patios or simple outdoor spaces.
- Exposed aggregate patio. The top layer of concrete is washed back to reveal the stone aggregate underneath. The result is a natural-looking, textured surface that handles heat and glare much better than a smooth finish.
- Stamped concrete patio. Stamps are pressed into the wet concrete to create patterns that look like stone, brick, tile, or wood. Add a color stain and you get the high-end look of a paver patio at a fraction of the price. Learn more on our stamped and decorative concrete page.
- Colored concrete patio. Integral color is mixed directly into the concrete before it is poured. The result is a consistent, even color throughout the slab that will not fade or peel like paint or coating would.
- Extended and connected patios. Need your patio to connect to an existing driveway or walkway? We can tie them together seamlessly so the whole property looks cohesive. See how we handle concrete driveway installations if that is part of your project.
How We Install Your Patio
Here is what the process looks like from start to finish so you know what to expect and when.
Site prep. We start by clearing the area and removing any existing grass, roots, old concrete, or gravel. Getting down to a stable subgrade is the foundation of a patio that stays level over time.
Grading and base. We grade the area so that water drains away from your house and then lay a compacted gravel base. In Southern California, we pay special attention to how the grade handles the heavy rain events that come through every few years.
Forms and reinforcement. We set the forms to define the shape and install rebar or wire mesh for structural reinforcement. This is what prevents the patio from cracking and shifting after the pour.
Pour and finish. Concrete is poured, screeded level, and finished to your chosen texture. Control joints are cut so that any minor shrinkage cracks happen in straight, planned lines rather than across the open face of the slab.
Curing. We apply a curing compound or cover the slab to slow down moisture loss during the curing period. Rushing this step is one of the most common reasons patios develop surface cracks. We do not rush it.
Patio Installation in Garden Grove and Orange County
We are a locally owned company based right here in Garden Grove. That means we know what the soil is like in this part of Orange County, how the weather cycles affect outdoor concrete, and what local permit offices expect when you pull a permit for new flatwork.
Most residential patio projects in Garden Grove do not require a permit, but that depends on the size, the proximity to property lines, and whether any grading work is involved. We will let you know before work begins if a permit is needed and help you understand the process.
